Products

I can't see my make or model of chainsaw. Do you stock a chain for it?

We stock all sizes of chains so we will have a chain for your saw even if it isn't currently listed.

In order to find out what chain you need please watch our short Identify Your Chain video and this will guide you to the right chain to order from the Chains section on our website.

Do you have a product that I can't see listed on your website?

Everything that we have available is listed on our website. If you can't see what you are looking for then we're sorry but its not something we can supply.

Do you have all items that are listed on your site in stock ready for dispatch?

Yes we pride ourselves on actually having items in stock ready for dispatch - if it can be added to your cart then we have it on our shelves!

Delivery

How quickly do you dispatch orders?

We dispatch all orders received and paid for by 12 noon on the same working day. Orders received after this time are dispatched the next working day (excludes weekends and bank holidays).

Do you ship to Europe and the rest of the world?

Sorry but we only ship within the UK, we aren't able to ship to Europe or worldwide.

How much is postage?

Postage is free! All our prices include VAT and free delivery which includes all the UK islands, Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Most deliveries will be made by Royal Mail 1st class post which as per Royal Mail's own estimated delivery times is a 1-2 working day service (excludes weekends and bank holidays). For larger combined orders and heavier items a courier service will be used and we use a next working day service for most items to UK mainland. Delivery of all courier items to the UK islands and Scottish Highlands can take an extra 1-2 days.

What if I have an issue with my delivery ? i.e. someting is missing or hasn't arrived yet.

We require written notice via email or post that you have a delivery issue within 7 days of your order dispatch confirmation email

Returns / Exchanges

Can I return an item for exchange or refund?

Yes items can be returned to us within 28 days of purchase providing they are returned clean, unused, in their original packaging with all labels intact and in re-saleable condition. Under the Distance Selling Regulations the cost of return postage is at your own expense.

Please return the item to Chainsdirect, 37-47 North Street, Bedminster, Bristol, BS3 1EW and include a copy of the Sales Receipt or a note giving us your name, address, contact number and whether you would like a refund or exchange. If it is for exchange then please also tell us what you need instead. If you're not sure what chain you need then please watch the short Identify Your Chain video and this will show you what details we need off your old chain.

Is there a time limit for exchanges and refunds?

All unused products returned clean to us within 28 days of purchase in their original packaging with all labels intact and in re-sale-able condition will be exchanged or refunded without question. Under the Distance Selling Regulations the cost of return postage is at your own expense.

After that time returned products will be exchanged or a credit given at our discretion following inspection. The products must be clean, unused, in original packaging with all labels intact and in re-saleable condition.
